Our Story
Helping Hands Wellness Center Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit founded by a first-generation queer Latina woman and immigrant who experienced firsthand the barriers to higher education and professional development in mental health.
Inspired by her journey as the first in her family to earn a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, she set out to address the gap in training and resources for BIPOC therapists and healers.
Our team consists of dedicated BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and first-generation professionals who are committed to uplifting and empowering their communities. Each team member brings a wealth of experience & a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the communities we serve.

How We Help
We offer mental health services and specialized trainings in effective models of healing, ensuring that BIPOC therapists and healers are well-equipped to address the unique needs of their communities.
Our Approach
Community-Centered
We believe that the most effective healing comes from within the community. By training local therapists and healers, we ensure that support is culturally relevant and accessible.
Our Programs
Trainings
We facilitate Brainspotting trainings with Native Indigenous Focus and offer specialized training for working with children, Art therapy, Play therapy, and more
